The
uniqueness of Krishnamurti (K) was his insistence
on all who came to him to live his teachings and
embody the truth he taught. Many people, having
investigated K's teachings for many years, have
flooded the official K website (www.kinfonet.org)
to express their confusion and consternation concerning
the sordid revelations of K's secret and suppressed
30-year long affair with Rosalind, the wife of
his secretary Rajagopal , and his encouragement
and soliciting of her abortions of their unborn
children as the inevitable results of their clandestine
trysts. "Lives in the Shadows"
by Rosalind and Rajagopal's daughter, Radha Sloss,
tells the story from their perspective in quite
brutal and exhaustive detail and quotes directly
Rosalind, Rajagopal and many contemporaries of
K and is available from www.amazon.co.uk.
K's official biographer Mary Lutyens' hastily
written riposte "Krishnamurti and the Rajagopals"
is a badly written travesty of an apologia and
simply stakes K's case on the fact that he "never
claimed to be celibate" and is available
from www.
kinfonet.org.
The
point is not whether K "claimed to be celibate"
but the fact that he never once acknowledged his
sexual, emotional and romantic relationship with
Rosalind, when the fact was that they lived together
as common law man and wife for three decades,
aborting their children in order to preserve K's
reputation as a man alone, living a truth beyond
mere mortal comprehension.
It is also sadly apparent that,
in order to preserve his reputation, he caved
in when the disclosure documentation released
during his litigation with Rajagopal, over the
ownership of K's intellectual property and trading
companies, threatened to reveal the whole truth
about K's affair with Rosalind. Surely a man "living
the truth" would have no problem whatsoever
with the truth coming out?
