MP Clare Short, the former New Labour Cabinet Minister for Overseas Development, has "provoked outrage by describing the cause behind Osama bin Laden as 'just'", writes Robert Winnett in The Sunday Times on 10 October 2004, quoting comments she made during an interview with Gulf News, a Dubai newspaper.

Along with her parliamentary colleague, disgraced Liberal Democrat MP Jenny Tonge - sacked for cheer-leading for Palestinian suicide bombers - MP Short makes the fatal error of describing terrorism as "a war, a defensive jihad, because the people in the Middle East are being crushed and destroyed and their resources, their oil, misused and they have got to defend their civilisation and their religion".

MP Short commits a further fatal historical error by stating "I think the killing of civilians is always wrong, all the Prophet Muhammad's teachings said it was wrong, but I think the cause is just".

MPs Short and Tonge are now the most dangerous, despised and loathed women in Britain and rank alongside murderesses Myra Hindley, Rosemary West and Beverley Allitt in the rogue's gallery of modern British female monsters.
